Developing Commitment to Justice for All in Our New Attorneys 

The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA) was founded in 1982 to provide support and networking for women lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida. JWLA membership is open to all attorneys, male or female, in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding counties.

Help provide access to justice in our community by donating to the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA) Student Internship Fund! Your contribution will assist JWLA in funding at least one part-time position for a law student intern each summer to do the important work of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA).  JALA helps ensure justice for some of our community’s most vulnerable members by providing legal services to those who could not otherwise afford it.

JWLA’s mission is to actively promote gender equality in the legal profession, judiciary, and community at large.  An important part of fulfilling this mission is mentoring law students to succeed in their careers.  This JWLA Student Internship at JALA offers critical legal experience for a law student, while also providing needed legal service to our community.  Through the creation and funding of this internship, JWLA seeks to promote access to justice, provide substantive legal experience for JWLA’s student membership, and foster a lifelong dedication to pro bono.
