Established in 1937, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid is a nonprofit law firm focused on delivering economic, social, and housing justice to low-income and at-risk individuals and families on the First Coast.

JALA helps residents in each of the 17 counties in North Florida including: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy,  Madison, Nassau, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union. Depending on the legal problem, JALA offers different kinds of help. Please look at the following options and see if you meet the qualifications.

JALA partners with local attorneys to provide help on a sliding scale. This program may be right for you.
