Pro Bono @ JALA:
The Public Service Project
The Public Service Project is the program of the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida. The program has been approved by the Circuit Committee, and is administered by JALA.
There are many ways you as an attorney may assist JALA in providing legal services to low-income persons. You may sign up online to take referred cases from JALA, you may co-counsel with a JALA attorney on a case, or you may assist with any of the many clinics we hold at JALA to educate our clients about legal issues that affect them. Please see the pro bono participation page for some of the many opportunities available here at JALA for you to help change a person’s life for the better.
In particular there is a great demand by Duval County residents for legal assistance in the area of family law. Attorneys are encouraged to volunteer to provide family law assistance. Training materials and mentors in the family law area are available.
We also welcome any ideas you may have regarding other ways in which you might be able to assist in providing pro bono services. Thank you for your participation!
