Pro Bono Attorneys Are Needed to Assist with the Naturalization Process

(immigration expertise is not required).

The Naturalization Process (3 hours of CLE credit pending), Friday, January 25, 2013, 11:30-2:00. This webinar is designed for any attorney interested in assisting an immigrant client with the process for becoming a U.S. citizen. Topics will include immigrant eligibility requirements, problem areas, assembling the application materials, preparing for the naturalization interview, and working with interpreter services. Participants will receive forms and resources needed to complete the naturalization process. To register for this webinar go to:

Attorneys who participate in the webinar(s) are asked to provide pro bono assistance within a year.

Attorneys may view the webinars live or by requesting the materials from Kathy Para, Esq., after the presentation (kathy.para@jaxlegalaid.org).

There is no charge for the webinar, but by participating in the webinar, the attorney is making a commitment to serve at least one pro bono client in the specific substantive area.

Pro bono attorneys receive relevant reference information and document templates.

The webinar will be taught by local immigration attorney and FCSL professor, Ericka Curran.

Expert attorneys will serve as resource persons for pro bono attorneys who are assisting JALA clients.

JALA provides professional liability insurance for pro bono attorneys when representing JALA clients.
