CALL FOR JUSTICE 2002
 

On March 12, 2002 several Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Board Members gathered at Legal Aid to make the “Call for Justice” which benefits Legal Aid’s 2002 Campaign to Maintain Justice.
Many thanks are extended to Hank Coxe, Esq., Stacie Drawdy, Esq., Leslie Goller, Esq., Bob Spohrer, Esq. and Alexis Priestly, Esq. for their assistance with the event. They arrived, they “cold” called, they raised money!!

JALA HOSTS 3rd ANNUAL
EQUAL JUSTICE AWARDS CEREMONY
 

Jacksonville Area Legal Aid hosted their 3rd Annual Equal Justice Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 1, 2001 at the River Club of Jacksonville. The Equal Justice awards are given to recognize individuals in the legal community who have made a significant impact by their pro-bono work of increasing the access to justice for all.

Highlight of the event was the award given to Attorney Robert Spohrer, of Spohrer, Wilner, Maxwell & Matthews, P.A. Mr. Spohrer was the guest of honor at the reception and was honored for his tireless “Dedication and Superlative Efforts in Furtherance of the Mission of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.”

Migdalia Figueroa and Lois Ragsdale, staff attorneys with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, were recognized for their outstanding contributions in the area of Fair Housing.

Ingrid Smalling, Court Reporter was also honored for her commitment to pro bono work for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.

The evening was enjoyed by all that attended and we are looking forward to another successful year of support.
